Startrails Above Tour Vauban

Stars of Orion and Gemini rise above the eastern horizon of Camaret-sur-Mer in Brittany at the western most tip of France. The monument is Tour Vauban, also known as the Golden Tower, a 17th century fortification which was guarding the harbor. It is one of the 12th Fortifications of Vauban, all listed as World Heritage Sites. They were designed by famous French military engineer Vaubun (1633–1707) and constructed along the western, northern and eastern borders of France. © Gernot Meiser
