Description

This image represents what I love about summer and autumn nights. I grew these sunflowers from seed as part of my “Stars and Flowers” Project. I do not have a green thumb but somehow I managed to keep these ones alive. I had a bit of a struggle with the animals that would come by and eat all the leaves off of every seedling that I tried to plant. I ended up keeping these few remaining ones in a pot to give them the best chance of survival. On this night I took quite a few images but I’m sharing my favourite one first. You can see Cassiopeia, Cygnus, some star clusters and a distant galaxy. Can you find them all? I took this image from my front yard under suburban light pollution. I hope you enjoy the view. Details: Canon EOS Ra ISO 6400, Sigma 15mm fisheye f5.6, 20seconds x 2 for focus stacking.
