Description

In the silent heart of Bhaktapur’s night, the stars dance around the pole, while the Nyatapola Temple stands still and serene, watching the sky. This five-tiered pagoda, built in the 15th century, rises from the heart of a city whose name means “City of Devotees.”

Bhaktapur, one of the three ancient cities of the Kathmandu Valley near Nepal’s capital, is a UNESCO World Heritage site — where time and space seem to bow in reverence to history and the heavens.
