Description

From the photographer: “Living at an altitude of nearly 3000m, this Stemless Silenus spends 7 months of the year under the snow with extreme climatic conditions. Thanks to its taproot and deep 2 to 3 meters, this allows it to spend the almost annual winter. In addition, its appearance of green moss helps maintain a certain temperature to house insects and arachnids.

Photo taken with a Canon 5D MKIII and a Samyng 24mm f / 1.4 lens.”
