Description

Before the evening twilight fades away in darkness the International Space Station (ISS) passes above April landscape of Hárskút; a village in central Hungary. The digital image is made of several multi-second exposures one after the other with only a second between each shot, which caused the gaps in the space station trail. The bright but short streak on the lower right of this wide-field image is an Iridium flare caused by the reflective antenna surface on Iridium satellites reflecting sunlight directly onto the Earth below and appearing as a brief, bright flare. © Tamas Ladanyi
