Snow and Stars

The stars of the northern hemisphere winter nights shine above snow-covered landscape of southern Turkey. The comet Lulin is also visible on the top left. To recognize the constellations and bright stars in this view move the slider on the image.

As noted by the photographer “I stopped on the Sinekçi Pass, near the town of Gombe in Kas district in southern Turkey. It was completely dark. The surroundings were covered with snow, the road was getting more icy and dangerous with numerous bends. So I decided to stop and check the place for TWAN photography.”
