Skygazing from Hungarian Heritage

Skygazing from the World Heritage site of Fertö/Neusiedler in Hungary. The prominent W-like constellation of Cassiopeia is visible in the upper middle with a bright but small meteor captured just below it. Neusiedl Lake area (shared between Austria and Hungary) has been the meeting place of different cultures for eight millennia. The remarkable rural architecture of the villages surrounding the lake and several historic palaces adds to the area’s considerable cultural interest. © Tamas Ladanyi
