Sirius Rises in Nepal

Constellation Canis Major and Sirius, the brightest star of the night sky, rise above Durbar Square of Bhaktapur, a World Heritage site of historic temples and monuments in the eastern side of Kathmandu Valley. Bhaktapur was once the capital of Nepal during the great Malla Kingdom until the second half of the 15th century.
