Remembering a Star Party

From the photographer “While attending the 12th annual Nebraska Star Party, held at the Merritt Reservoir in Cherry County, Nebraska, I used a 24mm lens on a medium format film back to record the northern stars trailing around this bale of hay near my campsite. During the exposure, I used a green laser pointer and printed “NSP 2005,” on the red-illuminated hay bale. Red airglow is visible near the horizon at lower right.”
