Description

From the photographer: “I hadn’t been to the astronomical tower since the very cold morning of the first day of winter, when the sunrise was seen between the two doors of the Radkan Tower of Khajeh Nasir al-Din Tusi, until tonight when I went to see the lunar eclipse. Many people had come to see and photograph the lunar eclipse, and everyone was bustling about. Families were happy and full of energy with their children. The lunar eclipse, which was coming to an end, created a lot of joy, and in a complete surprise, fireworks were launched into the sky, and the sky became colorful

The 766-year-old historical tower of Eastern Radkan is located in the Toos region of Khorasan, according to Dr. Manouchehr Arin, who has conducted several years of research on the Radkan tower : it is a tower that has the ability to determine the four seasons of the year, the leap year and the beginning of Nowruz. According to engineer Arin, the Radkan Tower was designed and built along the meridian line by the order of Khwaja Nasiruddin Toosi in 1258 AD.”
