Planets, Moon, and the Volcano Smoke
Description
From the photographer: “Tonight I went to the southern slope of Etna at an elevation of 2,000 meters above sea level to image at the dawn the parade of planets and the moon (with Pleiades, Aldebaran and the Hyades). All were bathed in the smoke from Mount Etna Volcano, which from midnight began to smoke. Bottom right are the lights of the City of Catania. Move the slider on the image for labels.”
