The 2016 annual Perseid meteor shower in August captured from British Columbia, Canada. In this photo composite, showing the shower activity over an hour near the morning twilight, meteors are caught on various frames of a photo sequence and their brightest are digitally added to a single shot of the sequence. The image is made from top of Mount Kobau (1873m), near Osoyoos, a stargazing destination in summer and also the site of the annual Mt. Kobau Star Party. Click the second photo for another meteor composite made one night later (Aug 12/13) from Dominion Radio Astrophysical Observatory near Okanagan Falls, BC.
