Penumbral Lunar Eclipse in Slovakia

From the photographer: “The Moon hasn’t entered the full shadow of the Earth this time, just the penumbral shadow, therefore the drop of the brightness is not that much noticeable for a visual observer, but on a photo, you might notice the left part of the Moon being slightly darker. In addition, the maximum phase occurred around 20 minutes before the Moon was visible above the horizon at the observation location. Shortly after that there were some distant thin clouds disturbing, but as the Moon was getting higher, simultaneously it was leaving the penumbral shadow and so the eclipse ended. This image shows a sequence of 14 moon positions merged together into one final picture.”
