Description

Bright stars of northern hemisphere’s winter rise over narrow valleys carved inside Alborz Mountains near Firuzkuh in northern Iran. The “star” outshining every other star in this view is in fact none other than planet Jupiter. Constellation Taurus is the home for Jupiter in the winter of 2012-3. Jupiter is generally the second brightest planet in our night sky after Venus. To identify other objects and stars are in this view move the slider on the image.
