Description

Landscape of Fosen, Norway, lit by northern lights. The Norwegian peninsula “Fosen” is one of Bernd Proeschold´s favorite location to shoot Northern Lights. If the wind is coming from eastern directions, the sky is often clear in this region. Due to the near Atlantic Ocean the temperatures are suitable for photographic work. This shot was taken at -13 degrees – a warm winter temperature compared to the inner parts of Norway. The shot shows the typical active period around midnight when the light of aurora often becomes brightest.
