Description

From the photographer: “Mt. Cook National Park sits within the Aoraki Mackenzie International Dark Sky Reserve, a vast expanse of alpine land in New Zealand with incredibly dark skies. One advantage of both the dark sky and the southern latitude was the view of the Magellanic Clouds—dwarf galaxies that orbit our own.

Here, my friend sat under the night sky, playing an acoustic guitar. With the Large Magellanic Cloud floating in the backdrop, I captured this image.”
