Description

From the photographer: “I just got home and here’s the show I attended tonight. In the photo the Mt. Etna during its first paroxysm of this year. As you can see from the photos, the lava fountains have reached a height probably close to a kilometer. The photos were taken about 60 kilometers away as the crow flies. The lack of haze made it possible to capture this magnificent spectacle at such a distance. It was truly a thrill for me to witness this event which, moreover, took place on a starry evening with the moon lightly illuminating the landscape.
