Morning Conjunction
Description
Planets Jupiter (the brighter) and Mars meet over the eastern horizon in this telephoto view during the morning twilight. Photographed from Mount Uludag, lights of eastern districts of Bursa are framed in the picture. Click on the second photo to see a closer view of the conjunction that shows how it could be seen with a pair of binocular. Three of Jupiter’s four Galilean Moons are visible (from left to right: Ganymede, Europa, Callisto) as well as the star cluster M35 in Gemini.
