Description

Outshining a light house, the Moon sets in the waters of Gallipoli Peninsula, between the Sea of Marmara and Aegean Sea in north west Turkey. The bright “star” above the Moon is planet Saturn among the stars of Leo. As noted by the photographer “Here in Buyukkemikli cape, there are sandstone sponge-look rocks everywhere. To the right of the setting Moon is Buyukkemikli war memorial script. A thing that raised my eyebrow when imaging here was the faint blue, wavy structures in the sky, mainly around Leo and above Saturn. I can’t recognize if these are very high clouds that are lit by the Moon, Noctilucent Clouds, or just artifacts caused by the lens. But they were also recorded in another picture few minutes later.”
