Moon Occults Mars

This telephoto view of early evening twilight above Kansas, shows the young Moon only few degrees above the western horzizon. But this is not a regular crescent Moon view. It shows moments after Mars occultation by the Moon. The red planet has reappeared in the sky, only minutes before it sets in the horizon.
