Description

From the photographer: “The Simatai section is one of the most breath-taking parts of the Great Wall, following steep mountain ridges crossing a deep valley. Pictured here is the Milky Way above the wall’s highest point Wangjinglou (the Beacon Over-looking Beijing). Our shooting was challenged not only by the unrestored single-sided wall, but also the heavy light pollution and air-pollution from Beijing.”

Technical details: 20mm x 9 panels panorama; Sony A7s + Nikkor 20/1.8, 20mm 1.8 25s ISO6400
