Milky Way Above Lake Doxa

From the photographer: “As soon as we arrived at Lake Doxa, we began setting up our tent near the spot where we had planned to capture the night sky later that night. The weather conditions were perfect for the shot we were aiming for—clear skies, no wind, and excellent visibility. Arriving before sunset gave us time to explore the landscape, and we debated whether to shoot from lake level or from a slightly higher vantage point to get a better view.

Given the late moonset and the orientation of the Milky Way at that time, the higher viewpoint proved to be the better choice. Including a human figure in the frame turned out to be a rewarding decision, adding not only an extra point of interest but also a valuable sense of scale.”
