Mars and Lion Over Nepal

A starry night of Nepal in Panauti Temple. Constellations Leo (the Lion) and Cancer are visible rising on the right, and Gemini is near the top. The brightest “star” in the view is in fact the Red Planet, Mars. Down on the Earth is the delicate architecture of Indreshwar temple, one of the largest and tallest pagoda style temples in Nepal, originally built in 1294 making it the oldest surviving temple in the country.
