Lunar Eclipse Above the Gateway Arch

From the Photographer: “The duration of the November 2021 partial lunar eclipse over the Gateway Arch in St. Louis, Missouri. This image was created using a photo-sequence of 210 exposures using a Canon 5Dmkiv and Irix 15mm lens.

I wanted to see the gradual progression of the shadow on the moon during the eclipse but was unsure how well the stars would show up in the sky over St. Louis, even during the eclipse…as it turns out, several stars were able to be seen and show up nicely in the final image!”
