Description

In a late spring evening constellation Leo, the Lion, sets behind iconic landscape of Monument Valley in the United States. Mars is still prominent in Leo, two months after its 2012 opposition. From the photographer: “I made this view during a road trip with fellow TWAN photographer Wally Pacholka. While arranging the composition, Wally’s well-known picture from 2007 was in my mind, with Mars rising in the east over the same landscape from the opposite angle.”
