Juniper and the Northern Crown

Constellation Corona Borealis (the northern crown) is photographed in close-up above a cliff-edge juniper tree in Zion National Park. The iconic sedimentary rock layers of Zion, which appear like stacked pancakes in this view, are formed by mud, gravel, and sand sediments deposited over time.
