Journey to the Planets
A photo composite of multiple exposures. From the photographer: “I wanted to share with you my photo of the planet’s parade. I was able to capture the planet’s sequence, one of the most beautiful celestial events recently, with the ISS. For this, I went to Eskikaraağaç village in Bursa Uluabat Lake (Turkey) with my motorcycle and waited for the events to happen without moving my tripod. The lights in the middle of the lake belong to the historical Gölyazı (Apolyont or Apollonia) village, which was built on a small island in the lake. Move the slider on image to show/hide labels.
As you can see, there is some time difference between the exposure of ISS transit and the exposure of the planets. This is because I wanted to wait for Mercury to be more visible. I must say that I did a little manipulation in the photo. On the far bottom right corner, a small piece of boat was entering the frame with some bushes. I removed these elements that spoiled this composition in Photoshop.”
