From the photographer: “A bright iridium flare as seen from the Rodrigues Island; an autonomous outer island of Mauritius located in the Indian Ocean. Iridium Flare is a phenomenon caused by the reflective surfaces on satellites (such as antennas or solar panels) reflecting sunlight directly onto the Earth below and appearing as a brief, bright flare.”
