Immersive Look at Mt Wilson

Click on the image for an immersive experience of being inside the Mount Wilson Observatory (near Los Angeles) at night, where Edwin Hubble made a history in science a century ago by discovering the universe is far larger than the Milky Way and it is expanding. The virtual reality shows the historic 60-inch telescope from 1908. It was the world’s largest operational telescope for about a decade before the observatory’s 100-inch telescope was built.
