Imamzadeh Trails

The multi-hour exposure image in the early evening sky of Alamut Valley in Iran, displays the Moon and planet Venus trail above an Imāmzādeh (meaning Imām-born in Persian). Such shrines are very common religious monuments in Iran specific to Shī‘ah Islām. They are places where an immediate descendant of a Shi’a Imam is buried.
