Galileo Gazing at Jupiter

Jupiter in the night sky over the Sculpture of Galileo Galiliei at the Cittadella of Pisa.

Created by Italian sculptor Stefania Guidi, this 2.8-meter high bronze statue of Galileo stands on a white marble pedestal close to Torre Guelfa in the Cittadella area of Pisa. The sculpture was erected there in July 2009.
