Dreaming starry sky of a Hawaiian remote mountain top. In this spectacular panoramic image your gaze sweeps across the arch of our Milky Way Galaxy above from the top of Haleakala Crater, a massive shield volcano that forms more than 75% of the Hawaiian Island of Maui. As noted by the photographer “I have never seen the Milky Way so represented from horizon to horizon with continuous landscape on the foreground. The National Park Service rates this night sky site as one of the four best in the world. The image above is the result of 10 vertical images stitched side by side each with sky and landscape in foreground.”
