Description

The Moon, Venus and Mercury over the 3rd millennium BC statue of Sphinx. The World Heritage Site of Giza Plateau at the west bank of the Nile River, near modern-day Cairo, includes three main pyramids and Sphinx The Great Sphinx statue, or The Father of Fear which is a half-human, half-lion. It is the largest monolith statue in the world and stands 73.5 meters long. As noted by the photographer and astronomy specialist of Bibliotheca Alexandrina “I used a Practica SLR camera and Kodak ISO400 film for this 1 second exposure of planetary conjunction”.
