Description

From the photographer: “The sun had just set behind the mountain ridge line, and the crescent moon was just getting brighter in the twilight sky. Greece was facing extended wildfires all over the region, and smoke and particles were floating in the lower stages of the atmosphere, resulting in a vibrant red colour in the sky.

I was patiently watching the crescent moon getting lower to the horizon, until the moment it was close to the mountain ridge line, where was as dark as needed in order for the shadow are of the moon to be lighted up by the earthshine and also for the Mars to be visible during the twilight.”
