Conjunction of Jupiter and Mars with Venus
Description
From the photographer: “I planned a visit to Chiricahua National Monument recently and made this image of the recent conjunction seen early morning of May 29th 2022. I waited for Venus to clear the horizon and framed the image with the branches of a beautiful American Sycamore tree in the foreground and the Chiricahua Mountain range in the distance. Some thin high clouds likely cause the diffusion of Jupiter as no filter was used for this image. Slight green airglow is seen on the right, with the sky brightening on the left as astronomical twilight had already begun 20 minutes prior.”
Technical details: Single exposure: ISO 3200, 30mm, f/2.8 13 sec.
