Conjunction and Perseides Above Old Poggioreale

From the photographer: “Jupiter and Mars in conjunction in the starry sky over which other celestial objects such as: Aldebaran and a Perseid, the Pleiades, the California nebula, the constellations of Perseus, Auriga and Taurus. The scene takes place on the ruins of Poggioreale, the ancient town destroyed by the earthquake of 1968…but that is another story that deserves a dedicated in-depth look with another image….so stay tuned!”
