Description

The Oct. 13th 2024 was a special night to capture the Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS as the Earth was passing through the comet’s orbital plane, and this is causing the comet to sprout an ‘anti-tail.’ It’s clearly visible the frontal spike coming out of the comet’s head. The image was taken from a beautiful field at Dark Sky Alqueva territory in Portugal. The Moonlight was shining bright so it helped to illuminate quite well the landscape. Now the comet is clearly visible with naked-eye.
