Comet T-A Over the Mediterranean Sea

From the photographer: “On October 12th, the Tsuchinshan-Atlas finally revealed itself to us spectators in the northern hemisphere. After an unproductive day yesterday, today the comet was much brighter and could even be appreciated with the naked eye. An unmissable event for sky lovers, since this periodic comet may not pass by our region again for another 80,000 years. It’s truly a unique thrill to admire this celestial object with your own eyes and not only through cameras, binoculars, and specialized equipment. Compared to the Neowise comet, it seems much brighter and definitely has a longer tail (reaching about 5 degrees at the moment).

The photo was taken from Sampieri, Sicily, in the direction of the Mediterranean Sea. The clarity of the sky allowed me to take photos of the comet almost down to the horizon.”
