Comet C/2023 A3, from Western Australia

From the photographer: “Early this morning, I photographed Comet C/ 2023 A3 from the eastern edge of Perth, Western Australia, overlooking the Darling Scarp. The dust tail is prominent, more than 1 degree long.  My location was fortunate: Perth city and the coastal plain, below my location on the Darling Scarp, was covered in fog.  The last quarter moon and city location made for bright skies. I could just detect the comet, visually, without optical aid…. Low above eastern horizon, predawn sky.”
