Comet and Capella Rising

A photo composite of three exposures. From the photographer: “Comet 21P/Giacobini-Zinner(2018) and the bright star Capella clearing a ridge at 12:43 am early this morning at Topaz Lake on the California/Nevada border.”

Technical details: Three exposures were captured at 200 mm on a Canon EOS 6D and EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L lens, on an iOptron SkyTracker. The exposures were adjusted in Adobe Lightroom and combined in Photomatix 6.
