Description

A sequence of images has captured startrails and the Milky Way above the World Heritage area of Hortobágy National Park in Eastern Hungary. The area is also designated as a Starry Sky Park by the International Dark Sky Association after the local efforts to protect the natural beauty of night sky by controlling the light pollution in this area. The Hortobagy is the largest natural grassland in Europe and provides habitat for many kinds of birds and other wildlife. The area is also rich in culture and history famous for its traditional T-shaped sweep wells which dot the landscape.
