Chasing Clear Skies

The summer Milky Way from Mount Jiuhua, one of the four sacred mountains of Chinese Buddhism, famous for its rich landscape and ancient temples.

From the photographer: “During August 10-13 for the Perseid meteor shower I traveled to Anhui province of China but due to the influence of typhoon, I had to drive more than 1200 km to find the clear skies, finally at the world heritage site HongCun and Buddhist Mount Jiuhua and Mount Tiantai. Documenting the traditional Chinese architecture under stars was my goal.”
