Description

Two planets and a bright star group together in this colorful evening view of June 29, 2008 from a Kansas countryside in USA. The close pair are planet Mars (red) and Regulus, the brightest star of constellation Leo. The third of the triangle, at the upper limit of the image, is Saturn. As noted by the photographer “when I went out to one of my favorite observing and imaging spots, I discovered the farmers had recently cut and baled the hay, making for a nice foreground”.
