Description

The Moon and stars trail above Cáparra Roman city in the Extremadura region of Spain. As noted by the photographer ”This city obtained the status of municipality in 74 DC for a decree of the emperor Vespasiano. The image shows the square-shaped arch, of four doors, unique in Spain, which was in the geographical center of this Roman city. This arch was crossed by the Route of the Silver, an important Roman causeway that was crossing Spain (Hispania, in Roman) from north to south. The digiral startrail image is made of three hours of total exposure and shows the arch of the almost full Moon (below right) and the trail of Jupiter (on the central arch).”
