Description

From the photographer: “This was taken from the popular Grandview Campground in the White Mountains (east of the Sierras near the town of Big Pine). Elevation was approx 8,400 feet and the sky was extremely clear which let me capture the significant amount of visible airglow. In the foreground you see the Deep Springs Valley with the most obvious feature being Deep Springs Lake, a dry lake bed. This area also marks the western edge of the Great Basin. To the left is a campfire illuminating the surrounding brush.

Panorama was made using four different frames taken with a Canon 6D at ISO12800, 15 sec exposures. Lens was a Tokina 11-16mm @ 16mm, f2.8.”
