Description

This simple telephoto view pointing to one of the peaks in the southern Alps in Tyrol, Austria, is a single-exposure photo that has captured two of the most beautiful iconic deep sky objects, the Double Star Cluster (left) and M31, the Andromeda Galaxy (right). The TWAN photographer has used Polarie startracker mount to increase the exposure without causing stars to trail (the tracker cancels out the Earth rotation). Using the 1/2 tracking speed on Polarie the motion of the tracker had minimum blurring effect on the foreground.
