Above the Lights
Stars begin to appear in this evening twilight of southeast Germany. The spectacular Hohenzollern Castle stands above thousands of lights from the villages and towns in the valley. Although reconstructed few times the castle history back to the 11th century when there was no sign of modern light pollution in the whole world. Today the castle is only about 50 kilometers south of Stuttgart and it’s located on top of Mount Hohenzollern about 230 m above nearby towns Hechingen and Bisingen. It is considered the ancestral seat of the Hohenzollern family, which emerged in the Middle Ages and eventually became German Emperors.
