Above the Frozen Earth

The International Space Station (ISS) and Space Shuttle Discovery trail over Hungary in a winter night of frozen Lake Balaton. The image is made during STS-133 mission when the shuttle was attached to the space station and it’s the reason the two objects made a single trail. The digital image is made of several multi-second exposures one after the other with only a second between each shot, which caused the gaps in the trail of the moving ISS-Shuttle pair.
