A Moon Halo

From the photographer: “Over the last few years, I’ve spotted a handful of these moon halos – bright rings around the moon caused by tiny ice crystals in the atmosphere.

This image was taken in Haast, New Zealand. Capturing the most defined halo I have seen yet, over a Rimu tree.”
