Moated Castle Under Northern Stars

From the photographer: “The history of the moated castle Weyer traces back to the year 1299. It has, however, been reworked several times, taking on its current appearance during the Renaissance period. This image shows the castle in the light of the full moon, which reflects in one of the windows. The stars of the northern sky circle over the castle, including Ursa Major (the Great Bear, or Big Dipper) to the left of the building, and Ursa Minor (the Little Bear or Little Dipper) including Polaris, the Pole Star, above it. The bright star rising to the right (east) of the castle is Capella from the constellation Auriga.”
